Summary: This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by performing all required procedures in the cardiovascular department, operating specialized equipment including but not limited to the x-ray equipment within the cardiac catheterization laboratory and computer systems.
Job Duties
- Operates all radiographic equipment utilizing the ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principle, maintaining a safe radiological environment.
- Prepares and operates other equipment related to cardiac catheterization & angiography; i.e., ISTAT machine, AVOXimeter, Hemochron, etc.
- Maintains radiographic equipment and x-ray rooms in proper working condition, reporting malfunctions and necessary repairs to supervisory personnel.
