Radiology Cancer Coordinator

The aim of the post is to streamline the patient pathway to ensure rapid access to diagnostic imaging for all patients on a cancer pathway. The intention is to provide an imaging appointment on or as close as possible to the request date of the examination. The coordinator will then ensure the examination is reported as soon as possible following the test, the target being seven days from request to report. This will require any possible delays to be highlighted and, if necessary, escalated to the Imaging Service Manager and Clinical Lead.

Main duties of the job

• To use knowledge of national cancer waiting times targets and specialist knowledge to co‑ordinate and manage the patient diagnostic pathway. This will include:
