Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe transfer of patients to and from CT and MRI scanners, including from wards and the Emergency Department
• Assist patients during transfers and throughout their time in the scanning department, providing reassurance and comfort
• Prepare patients for scanning, getting them changed, providing oral preparation, assisting them in and out of scan rooms and on/off scanner tables
• Assist Radiographers and Radiologists with IV cannulation, biopsies, drainages, and other interventional procedures
• Organise daily departmental throughput in conjunction with Radiographers, checking referrals and noting special preparation instructions
