Reading Interventionist

MAJOR FUNCTION

: The reading interventionist will help students develop proficient reading skills that will contribute to their overall academic growth. Those employed by TCA will have completed an extensive review by TCA to ensure they meet the standards for the school both in delivery of instruction and establishment of the learning community and student-centered atmosphere.

Reading Interventionist will be expected to fulfill the role of instructional leader at all times. Effective reading interventionists will:

• administer and interpret diagnostic and formative assessment data to make ongoing instructional decisions.
• prepare and implement evidence-based reading interventions.
• create, organize, and maintain an intervention schedule to maximize time and number of students served.
• provide ongoing progress monitoring and adjust interventions based on students’ response as part of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)...
