Recreation Assistant

Summary The Eielson AFB Outdoor Recreation provides facilities and equipment for all military personnel and their families. Outdoor Recreation is organizing and executing outdoor events for all to enjoy. Must be 18+ years of age. APPLICATIONS WILL BE PULLED ON FRIDAYS UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED. Responsibilities Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of recreational facilities. Establishes schedules of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed. Types of duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Tests water-skiing and boating equipment for safe operation; demonstrates safety and conservation techniques for campsites, water sports area, firing ranges, and hunting areas; demonstrates equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities such as camping, swimming, and boating; sets up gymnasiums and playing fields for sports events, tournaments, and practice games when such assignments require a practical knowledge of the rules and procedures of s...
