Recreation Center - Summer Aquatic Positions
The Cedar Falls Recreation Division is hiring aquatic staff for the 2026 summer season. Expected employment will be May 17 - August 24 with additional pre- and post-season hours available. Positions vary and hourly wages will range from $11.50-15.60 based on position, qualifications, and experience.
Expected hourly wage by position:
Head Guards $13.65-15.60
Lifeguards $13.50-14.50
Instructors $13.00-14.00
Instructor Aides $11.50-13.25
Concession Workers $11.50-13.25
Cashiers $12.00-14.00
Maintenance $13.00-15.00
Expected summer work schedule:
Instructors & Aides:
Indoor Lessons: 8:30 am–Noon & 4:40–6:15 pm (up to 30 hours/week during lessons)
