About the Role

We’re looking for Registered Midwives to join our team at Waikato Hospital, one of the largest tertiary hospitals in the region. The role involves providing care across pregnancy assessment, normal labour, birthing, and postnatal care, with opportunities to develop advanced skills for women with complex pregnancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Midwifery‑led triage of new and existing patients.
• Tertiary acute assessment skills and high‑level decision making.
• Induction of labour and caesarean section theatre support.
• Perineal suturing and neonatal resuscitation and life support.
• High Dependency Obstetric Care and bedside advanced care.
• BFHI breastfeeding support in clinical skills and education.
• Long‑acting reversible contraception prescribing and training.
• Perinatal bereavement care.
