Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs
• Independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge
• Support Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and complete a three (3) week orientation to the PD unit

Experience

• Recent dialysis experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Successful completion of Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Course required.
