Registered Nurse - Assistant Nurse Manager

Summary The VA New Mexico Healthcare System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to serve in our Nursing, Ambulatory Care Department. The ANM serves as a clinical expert, overseeing patient care delivery, care coordination, patient education, and self-management. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, leads process improvement initiatives, supports staff development, and promotes high-quality outcomes through sound judgment, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing 24/7 operations of the assigned nursing unit. Provides leadership coverage for other Assistant Nurse Managers as needed. Directs and supervises staff orientation, onboarding, training, and professional development.
