Job Summary & Requirements

Child & Youth Inpatient is an 8-bed unit aligned with the Obstetrics Unit. The unit provides care using an interprofessional team approach and consists of Paediatricians, Neonatologists, specially trained Nurses, Social Workers, and Pharmacists, as well as other disciplines as necessary to provide appropriate care for patients.

As the Registered Nurse (RN) you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation.

Qualifications

• PALS required or willing to obtain with 6 months of hire date
• Paediatric and Neonatal resuscitation course preferred
• Breastfeeding course or equivalent
