Registered Nurse - D3 Cardiology - Temporary Full-Time - 2026-17323

Summary of Duties

Responsible for primary care of Cardiology and CV Surgery patients. The main functions of the RN include, but are not limited to: assessment, intervention, education and patient advocacy. The RN supports the Philosophy of Patient-Focused Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The RN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications / Skills

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Current B.C.L.S. Certificate.
• Minimum one year cardiology experience required.
• Minimum one year CV surgery experience required.
• Minimum one year VS surgery experience required.
• Minimum one year acute care experience required.
• Coronary Care I required (Humber College or equivalent).
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with venipuncture preferred.
