Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary part‑time Registered Nurse (Donor Centre Nurse) to join our agile Collections team in our BC‑Vancouver‑Oak St, BC‑Vancouver‑Downtown donor centre.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection of blood and blood products ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and required documentation.
- Contribute to building and promoting a positive donor experience and encouraging donations.
- Deliver an exceptional donor experience through strong communication and client‑service skills, conducting registration and confidential screening, ensuring eligibility and fostering trust.
- Educate and empower donors by providing clear information, instructions, and guidance on blood donations and other ways to support Canada's Lifeline.
- Provide coaching and consultation to donor centre staff, acting as team lead for collection events as needed.
