Registered Practical Nurse - Emergency Department (Temporary Full-Time)

Role

• Assist in the ER under the direct supervision of a registered nurse according to duties within the scope of practice as established by the College of Nurses of Ontario and in accordance with Hospital policy.
• Has successfully completed MAHC RPN enhanced scope of practice credentialing.
• Administer nursing care for patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

Required Education & Certification

• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Courses at diploma level or equivalent courses through a recognized College Program (pre or post‑grad RPN): Medication Course/Math Pharmacology, Catheterization, PIV Therapy, Health Assessment, Wound Management.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Basic & Advanced Nursing Fundamental Skills.
• Successful completion of MAHC RPN enhanced scope of practice skills.
