Reporter I, MultiMedia Journalist/Weekend Morning Anchor

WATE 6 News is searching for a weekend morning anchor who will work as an MMJ Monday - Wednesday. Candidate will not just anchor newscasts; they will collaborate with the weekend team to create compelling and engaging newscasts and digital content. Experience at a commercial television station is required for this position.
+ JOB DUTIES:

+ Anchor weekend morning newscasts & serve as occasional backup weekday anchor

+ MMJ report Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

+ Produce content across all WATE platforms including television and digital

+ Pitch original and compelling story ideas

+ Demonstrate storytelling techniques for live shots, standups, and use of digital and social media platforms

+ Organize material, determine angle or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards
