Operational ContextThe World Bank-UNHCR Joint Data Center on Forced Displacement (JDC) was established in Copenhagen, Denmark, in October 2019 and is an instrumental operational part of the overall cooperation between the World Bank and UNHCR. Its mission is to enhance the ability of stakeholders to make timely and evidence-informed decisions that can improve the lives of refugees, IDPs and stateless people and their hosts. The JDC originates from the Global Compact for Refugees and is central to accelerating sustainable responses to forced displacement and to achieving the 50by35 target.
