Opportunity Description
The Next Generation Neural Interfaces (NGNI) Lab at Imperial College London is seeking a Research Associate to join the ARIA-funded RESCUE project (Regenerative Electroactive Scaffolds for Circuit Unification via Electromodulation). The postholder will lead the design, development and validation of the electronic instrumentation and implantable microsystems used to deliver controlled electrical stimulation (electromodulation) to electroactive scaffolds for neural repair and circuit reconnection. The role will involve circuit and system design, hardware prototyping, experimental characterisation, and the development of research prototypes towards future implantable deployment.
RESCUE is a multidisciplinary collaboration between the NGNI Lab, Imperial College Bioengineering and the University of Oxford, developing regenerative electroactive scaffolds that combine biomaterials with targeted electromodulation to restore connectivity in damaged neural circuits.
