RESEARCH ENGINEER III (2)

Mid-career Mechanical Engineering position for UAB's Engineering and Innovative Technology Development (EITD) group.Develop viable mechanical system and component designs based on project requirements and specifications and assist in development, manufacture, maintenance, sustainment, and operational support of payload systems for space applications. Develop and supervise the development of detailed engineering documents and CAD drawings for use in fabrication and assembly of complex engineering hardware and devices. Review and check engineering drawings produced by others for adherence to technical specifications and requirements. Demonstrate effective technical communication to guide fabrication and assembly efforts,and work closely with engineers of other disciplines to develop high-reliability integrated systems.
