Job Description
The Research Engineer will participate in experimental research, with a specific focus on quantifying seagrass motion/deformation, flow response, and sediment transport. The research engineer will lead and execute flume experiments, data analysis and field sampling. Specific tasks include planning and conducting experiments, running laboratory analyses, collection and analysis of data, and performing basic administrative duties. This position reports to the Principal Investigator at Tropical Marine Science Institute and is based at St John's Island National Marine Laboratory on offshore St John's Island, Singapore, with regular project reviews at the Institute of High Performance Computing, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore in the one-north research cluster.
