Research Fellow (Main Group Chemistry)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

The appointed Research Fellow will synthesize low valent main group compounds featuring a unique electronic structure, and investigate the reactivity. The research staff will develop the fundamental chemistry of p-block elements-based compounds, in particular boron-containing molecules. The research staff will use experimental and analytical skills ranging from basic Schlenk technique to computational methods with the Gaussian program. Draft detailed reports conveying experimental results and presenting findings to other scientists. Monitor laboratory equipment to minimize malfunctions and adhere to safety regulations. Supervise undergrads, exchange students, PhD students, and new research staff to enhance the mentor and leadership skills.
