Role Summary

The Polymer and Composite Processing Group invites applications for Research Scientist position to lead and conduct research in advanced polymer processing technologies, with a particular focus on polymer flow processing, sheet thermoforming and multi-material component manufacturing for industrial application and translation. The Scientist is required to support both industry and research projects where process innovation, material characterization and structural testing are needed.

• Develop research topics from the study of process-related issues, conduct root‑cause analysis of defects, failures and material behaviour, etc. so as to resolve manufacturing challenges through deep scientific understanding of materials and processes.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to enhance the groups capabilities in polymer component design and advanced manufacturing processes.
