Opportunity Description

We are seeking

a Researcher from the Humanities/ Social Sciences disciplines, to join the Wellcome Trust funded discovery project After the end: Lived experiences and aftermaths of Diseases, Disasters and Drugs in global health. The After the End project seeks to explore issues related to time justice, waiting, memory, care, trauma and ideas of what constitutes ‘an end’, ‘the right time’ and what it means to be ‘late’ in relation to diseases, disasters, and access to health resources such as drugs and medicines. This project is interdisciplinary and draws on expertise from history, anthropology, law, sociology, ethics, literary studies, cognitive psychology and public health to shape policy and practice. Together these disciplines explore innovative methodologies drawing on poetry, photography, immersive XR and film to produce creative and engaging outputs which explore what constitutes an end, who should decide and what should happen after.
