The System Tools and Advanced Runtimes (STAR) group is a computer systems group that explores research across multiple layers of the system software stack, from operating systems, runtimes and low-level APIs to programming models, tools and applications. Our goal is to improve the system software stack to support increasingly complex workloads, including traditional HPC, AI and data analytics, on massively parallel HPC and cloud platforms.



The STAR group offers a postdoctoral position to work on operating systems, runtime systems, low-level system libraries and programming models for parallel applications. We are looking for a researcher with strong experience in systems software and an interest in advancing the interaction between operating systems, user-level runtimes and parallel programming frameworks.
