Barnardo's Northern Lights is a beautiful home on the outskirts of Inverness providing a safe, warm and supportive environment for up to five young people who have had adverse childhood experiences.

The service seeks to improve the lives of these young people through the use of a rights based, trauma informed approach. Staff seek to enrich the lives of young people placed with us through support and activities aimed at raising self-esteem, promoting mastery and enabling the young people to have childhood experiences in line with their age and stage of development. 


Ideally you will have experience of direct work with children and young people and will hold or be willing to work towards a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above (for example SVQ3 children and young people plus an HNC in social services)
