About the Role
The National Energy System Operator (NESO) is taking on the new role of Regional Energy Strategic Planner. You will lead technical engagement and coordinate data interfaces to develop the South East England Regional Energy Strategic Plan (RESP). The role involves working closely with local government, gas and electricity networks, and other stakeholders to understand their energy systems and secure investment. You will also shape methodology, validate data, and present findings to a broad audience. The position is open to full‑time and part‑time applicants and allows hybrid working in Wokingham.
Key Accountabilities
- Own regional energy system planning inputs and interface them with local and national data.
- Develop, consult and implement RESP methodology, including geospatial validation.
- Coordinate work within a matrix structure alongside other regional and South East RESP teams.
