Scotland Health Care System is seeking a highly qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner!
The Respiratory Therapist performs all aspects of respiratory therapeutics. Performs diagnostic studies including ABGs, Cooximetry, EKGs, etc. Able to implement and maintain TDPs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Some duties include:
Using hospital approved methods to positively identify patients, taking the time to explain the procedure/test to the patient to minimize patient fears and apprehensions.
Assessing pathophysiology as related to ventilatory status, pulmonary mechanics, oxygenation, and acid-base balance and implementing appropriate therapeutic or support modalities, taking into consideration indications, contraindications, and hazards of specific therapeutic or support interventions.
Qualifications Include:
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Preferred: Asthma Education certificate
