Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Respiratory Therapy Extern assists in providing patient care within the various common modalities of respiratory care, under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapy Extern assists staff by caring for patients, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the proper operation of respiratory care equipment, in accordance with the Extern’s documented education and demonstrated competencies, applicable state laws, regulatory requirements, and institutional guidelines.
