**Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Department:**
UNC Health Johnston ICU Department includes 16 intensive care beds. The ICU is designed to provide extraordinary care on a concentrated and continuous basis to those patients with critical or potentially life-threatening conditions that require close observation and more intensive nursing and/or medical intervention than can be provided on the general nursing units. We provide care to patients requiring CRRT, balloon pumps, Impellas, and many other treatment modalities. UNC Johnston is a Stroke, Chest Pain and STEMI accredited facility.
