Description: The unit consists of 2 operating rooms. There is a staff of 1 RN and 1 tech on day shift with additional RNs and techs on call. The estimated patient ratio is 1:1. Equipment used includes Impella, ECMO, Bypass pump, Laser (lead extraction), EVH, and Rapid Transfuser. The documentation system in use is Meditech. On-call requirements are split depending on staffing. Typical procedures performed include joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery.
