Standard Hours: 24.00
Shift: Shift 3, with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
The Extended Recovery Unit (ERU) is a specialized post-surgical 17 bed unit, providing overnight care for patients recovering from outpatient surgery and Interventional Radiology procedures. The surgical patient population cared for are those recovering from ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urology, GYN, and General Surgery. Our patients arrive mainly from PACU, requiring an overnight stay after their outpatient surgery. Patients staying in the ERU receive quality care throughout their stay and are typically ready for discharge by 10:00 a.m. the morning following their surgery or procedure.
