Opportunity Description
Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - 12 Hour Days
This is a 13-week contract position.
12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will provide critical care to patients with complex health needs and life-threatening conditions. The unit has 18 beds, which will expand to 27, and typically operates on a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally managing 3 patients during overflow situations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer care to critically ill patients, including those with conditions such as sepsis, acute myocardial infarction, and strokes.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
- Manage titration of critical drips including Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists available 24/7.
