**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**

The Infection Prevention Specialist is responsible for collaborating to promote, implement, and sustain effective infection prevention and control strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and ensure patient safety.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
+ Two years clinical experience
+ Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
+ Basic Life Support (BLS)
