Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care
+ Prepare patient for examination by recording vitals, medical history, and chief complaint.
+ Administer injections, medications, vaccines, and IVs as directed by providers and within the scope of licensure.
+ Perform laboratory tests (including point-of-care phlebotomy, specimen collection, and diagnostic tests) as directed by providers and within the scope of licensure.
+ Communicate test results, follow-up instructions, and address patient questions and concerns in a timely manner according to clinic policy.
+ Under the supervision the psychiatric provider, meets with patients for medication management.
+ Assures patient understanding of appropriate educational materials regarding medications, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
+ Meets with patients in a crisis or urgent situation until psychiatric provider is able to evaluate them.
