Akron General's Transitional Care Unit is converting to a Level II Progressive Care Unit, where caregivers will be able to provide a new, higher level of intermediate care to our patients. The patient population in this unit will consist of non-invasive BIPAP, continuous pulse ox monitoring, insulin and cardiac/vasoactive GTTs, chronic trach ventilators, acute stroke patients, subarachnoid spinal drains, transvenous pacers and arterial waveform monitoring.
