Road Inspector

Overview The Roadway Inspector is responsible for inspecting the construction, reconstruction, maintenance, and repair of public roadways and related infrastructure. The incumbent ensures that all work performed complies with approved plans, specifications, safety standards, and applicable regulations. The position supports the delivery of safe, durable, and high-quality transportation infrastructure and performs related duties as required. Key Responsibilities Inspect roadway construction and maintenance projects to ensure that standards for materials, workmanship, and construction practices are met. Monitor and report on the progress of construction projects, ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved plans and specifications. Ensure compliance with specifications related to earthwork, including cuts, fills, slopes, ditches, and rock excavation.
