SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the of CNIC Installation, in the Safety and Occupational Health Office NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA. Responsibilities You will conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of buildings, dry docks, on ships, piers and other facilities to identify, evaluate, provide recommendations, advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and managers. You will evaluate shipyard compliance in safety program functional areas, making recommendations for improvement. You will develop and conduct training for employees, supervisors and managers on general safety and occupational health subjects. You will conduct mishap investigations and prepare guidance in the report of findings with recommendations to correct unsafe, unhealthful acts, conditions or procedures which caused injury, health impairment, or property damage.
