Heartland AEA supports 57 public school districts, 44 accredited nonpublic schools, and 2 charter schools. Our service area includes the Des Moines metro area and other communities in central Iowa serving more than 150,000 students.
Heartland AEA is recognized by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) for achieving the Proficient level in the Excellence in School Psychological Services (ESPS) program.
