Scientist, Immune Cell Manufacturing (BTI)

A*STAR Bioprocessing Technology Institute (A*STAR BTI) is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to conduct exciting research in (1) developing human intestinal in vitro co-culture models for toxicological evaluation of novel foods, and (2) engineering cultivated meat (CM) cell lines for endogenous production of growth factors. Both projects are part of the Singapore Food Story (SFS) 2.0 R&D Programme. Interested candidates should have strong expertise in cell culture and characterization techniques such as immunocytochemistry, confocal imaging and next-generation sequencing. The goal of (1) is to establish an intestinal co-culture system capable of recapitulating the human gastro-intestinal physiological environment and assist collaborators in incorporating the co-culture into a microphysiological system.
