Search and Rescue Responder Transport Officer II

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond rapidly to SAR activations and deployments as directed by the Incident Command System (ICS).
• Conduct ground searches using established search patterns, techniques, and navigation tools.
• Perform rescue operations in diverse environments, including mountains, forests, rivers, collapsed structures, or urban areas.
• Provide emergency medical care to victims, including basic first aid or CPR.
• Operate rescue tools and communication equipment (radios, GPS, drones, etc.).
• Maintain readiness of personal and team equipment; assist with vehicle and gear maintenance.
• Document field activities, complete mission reports, and follow operational protocols.
• Participate in training sessions, mock rescues, and readiness exercises.
• Maintain personal physical fitness and knowledge of current SAR best practices.
