One-to-One Teaching Assistant (Year 8)

Contract: Full-Time (Initial one-term contract with strong potential for extension)

The Opportunity

Our client school, a small independent school in County Durham, is looking for someone to work one-to-one with a Year 8 student who has an EHCP and needs support from an adult. The student is well-natured, intelligent and will benefit from a calm, supportive and caring adult by his side. The role is term-time only (36 weeks per year) and is 5.5 hours per day.

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who brings energy to the classroom and has a genuine 'can-do' attitude toward child development.

• Experience: Previous experience working within a school setting – secondary school is desirable.
