**Purpose and Scope:** The purpose of this position is to perform the full range of inspections, maintaining, repairing and operating all assigned security barrier equipment physically supporting airfield operations, base facilities and security posts.

**Essential Responsibilities:** Maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions to include: ordering parts; installing, programming, calibrating, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing barriers and barrier operational systems. Tasks include use of recurring scheduled preventive maintenance actions and non-recurring, as required maintenance actions. Daily maintenance actions include managing hazardous material and waste and ensuring proper environmental compliance in the handling and disposal of it.
