About the Role

As a Security Engineer at Southern Cross, you’ll be hands‑on in protecting the technology environment that our members depend on. You’re joining at an exciting time as we invest in an uplift of our security operations capability, bringing new technology and ways of working. You’ll play a key role in shaping how it lands: getting involved in onboarding and early customisation, then driving the longer‑term tuning and continuous improvement that follows. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of our security tools—deploying, building, monitoring, and tuning them—while collaborating with Cyber Security Analysts and wider technology teams to stay ahead of threats. You’ll work actively to identify and resolve issues, reduce known vulnerabilities, and contribute to how we respond when things go wrong.
