Opportunity Description
UPMC Shadyside Hospital is looking for Security Officers to join their team! In this role, you will ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, staff, and all UPMC properties.
Schedules within this department rotate and include both weekends and holidays and shifts vary from daylight, afternoon, and night. Additionally, this role is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment to UPMC! Must be available for all shifts.
Responsibilities:
+ Patrolling UPMC hospitals, buildings, and grounds to prevent criminal activity.
+ Creating a visible security presence and documenting activities.
+ Contacting UPMC Police Officers or other law enforcement if needed.
+ Monitoring security, fire, and environmental alarms.
+ Addressing and resolving issues, disputes, and unusual situations.
+ Providing assistance and customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
