SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time, daily supply from as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEMH Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings in Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to help pupils access learning
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour strategies
- Assist with personal care and sensory needs where required
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and target setting
