Teaching Personnel are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and motivated Teaching Assistant to work within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) serving the Newport area.

This provision supports learners referred from primary and secondary schools, as well as the Local Authority. Pupils may have a range of additional learning needs (ALN) , including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) , and the provision focuses on delivering short-term, tailored support to help them successfully transition back into mainstream education where appropriate.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups , helping to re-engage them in education and build confidence, resilience, and positive behaviours.
