SEND Teaching Assistant (PMLD)

An excellent Opportunity has become available for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) within a specialist educational setting based in Leigh. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with complex learning, physical, sensory, and medical needs.

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will provide personalised support to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and achieve their individual goals in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with PMLD.
• Help to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using a calm and consistent approach.
• Support the delivery of sensory-based and communication-focused learning programmes.
