Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Adult Social Care and Education team, including line‑managing junior members.
• Hold a caseload of adult social care cases, such as Care Act 2014, ordinary residence, continuing health care, deprivation of liberty, age assessment, judicial review and inquest work.
• Provide high‑quality legal support across the full spectrum of Adult Social Care law.
• Advocate where required and develop advocacy skills as needed.
• Work closely with stakeholders to give clear, timely advice.
• Support the team’s commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Valid practising certificate and authorisation to practice in England as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
