Senior Advisor – Local Government

We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Strategy & Policy team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the Council meets its statutory obligations under the Local Government Act 2002.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Team Leader to support the Council’s statutory duties.
• Provide expertise in the development of the Long‑term Plan (LTP), Annual Plan, Annual Report, and policy reviews.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in policy, public administration, law, business management or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in local government, statutory planning or policy.
• Strong understanding of the Local Government Act 2002 and related legislative frameworks.

Remuneration

Initial offer within the range of $102,240 – $107,920.
