Senior Assistant Director (Research Grants and Development)

The College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS) is seeking a Senior Assistant Director (Research Grants and Development) to support the College’s research development efforts. The role works closely with the Associate Dean (Research), faculty, and School research teams to strengthen grant applications, build funding pipelines, and improve overall grant outcomes.

The postholder will advise faculty on funding opportunities, support the preparation of competitive grant proposals, and guide researchers through both pre‑award and post‑award processes. This includes reviewing proposal narratives, advising on budgets, and ensuring submissions meet funding agency requirements. The role also involves working with faculty to shape ideas into fundable projects and supporting interdisciplinary and cross‑institution collaborations.
