Senior Building Envelope Consultant

Position Summary

Involved in façade design, building envelope investigations, condition assessments, design of building-envelope repairs and subsequent construction administration, and peer reviews of building envelope designs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design assistance to Architects including detailing, specification preparation etc
• Proposal review and value analysis including recommendations for award of Contract.
• Value Engineering
• Contractor submittal review for compliance with Contract Documents
• Observation of mock-up construction and testing
• In-plant inspection to assess Quality Controls and manufacturer's Quality Control Programs. We also monitor quality of production on behalf of our clients
• Special Inspection of façade installation as required by the Building Department/Building Code of the City of New York
