As part of the Climate and Sustainability business, our consultants have extensive expertise in carbon management. Arup has been involved in numerous projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and promoting sustainable practices.

As the UK Government’s sustainability consultant for COP26, Arup developed a Carbon Management Plan and established a sustainable supply chain. We supported the G7 Summit 2021 in achieving ISO 20121 certification and delivering a carbon‑neutral event.

For Queen’s University Belfast, we devised a Net Zero Plan, provided decarbonisation services for Northern Ireland Water, and developed emissions monitoring tools for VisitScotland. We also collaborated with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on an emissions pathway analysis tool.
